My Personal Experience on Internet Advertising.
The following is my personal experience with advertising my site on the Internet. This is only my experience with those Internet Advertising companies that I deal with and may not apply to every one the net. This statement is only designed to share my experience. It is completely up to you to make up your mind as to whether or not you want to try it.
Purchasing “Targeted Traffic” to my site:
I purchased quite a few thousand “Target Traffic” to my site and the end result was nothing. It helped me getting hits on my site but there were no sign ups, no sales, no interest.
I am sure it helped to get some sort of traffic to my site, but do not expect to become rich just because you purchased “Targeted Traffic”
While I was doing my research I found that there are some sites that pay you money to click on other people's sites. No real interest on what the content of the website is, the only interest is on the clicks. I am not saying that they are connected but you will expect to get at least one sign up after 40 thousand people “Targeted Traffic” has looked at your site.
So there are 2 possibilities here. One, my website completely s..ks, or the “Targeted Traffic” is not really targeted to potential leads or costumers. I leave it up to you. Please note: I am not talking about email marketing.
“Viral Marketing”
I found that there are an incredible number of Viral marketing campaigns, and I found it to be quite interesting. You have people with Internet business promoting their site or their Internet business. If you have a product that you think other people with Internet businesses would be interested in, this is your cup of tea. I am not telling that you will make tons of money or sign ups. This is only a suggestion and what you do with it is completely up to you.
I found 2 that I quite liked.
1. Why Pif43 - I received some emails and found them interesting to see what marketing speeches and different businesses are available. I posted an ad and I got to see it being promoted so I know the ad was sent.
2. Why Linkreferral - I received reviews about my site that were really helpful with tips from others on what could I do to improve it. You also get to see other sites as well as getting some good ideas on what you can do to make your site more appealing to others.
I am only mentioning here the ones that I have used and found helpful. I will not mention the names of the ones I used and didn't like, I will only comment on my experiences as it is not up to me to say what is good for you or not. I can only recommend based on my own experience.
